1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small piece of information stored on or read from your device when you use an online service. Some cookies are strictly necessary for the service you request; others, such as advertising or tracking cookies, require prior consent.
2. Trackers used on the public site
- susinnos-language
- Remembers your selected language and directs you to the French or English version. It is a secure, first-party, SameSite=Lax cookie kept for no more than 12 months. It provides expected personalisation and is not used to track you.
- Technical security
- The hosting platform may use temporary cookies or identifiers that are strictly necessary for security, request delivery and abuse prevention. They are retained only for the corresponding technical need.
3. Private administration
Administration pages use essential authentication cookies to verify the authorised account and protect contact enquiries. They are used only in connection with private access and not for advertising.
4. Cookies we do not use
- no advertising or profiling cookies;
- no audience analytics or behavioural measurement tool;
- no embedded social button that sets a tracker before interaction;
- no automatically activated third-party embedded content.
LinkedIn is provided as an ordinary external link. LinkedIn receives your visit only if you choose to follow that link.
5. Why there is no consent banner
French and European rules exempt trackers that are strictly necessary for a requested service and expected personalisation such as language choice. Because SusInnoS currently sets no advertising or analytics tracker, an “accept/reject” banner would create a false choice and is not shown.
If a non-essential tool is added later, it will be blocked by default until you make a choice. Accepting and rejecting will be equally easy, and the choice will remain editable.
6. Managing your preferences
You can change language at any time using the EN/FR switch. You can also delete site cookies in your browser settings; the language preference will be recreated when you next select a language. Blocking essential cookies may prevent access to private administration.
